Hyleg:
The giver of life. The planet or point (e.g., the
Ascendant) said to have the single most influence
in a chart over the life of the native (i.e., the vitality,
the life expectancy). The only houses that can hold
Hyleg planets are (in this order): 10th, 1st, 11th,
9th and 7th. The Ascendant is the most common
Hyleg. Do not confuse Hyleg with "Parts-Hyleg," or,
"The Part of Hyleg," which are quite different. According
to Schoener the five Hylegs are: the Ascendant, Sun,

Moon, Lot of Fortune, and MC. (Ref.: p. 106, Hand's
